A. Reports at Desoto Imaging Specialists are automatically faxed to the referring physician the within 48 hours after the exam. Patients’ exams are available on CD and films and may be delivered to the doctors’ offices on request. Only the patient may come into our office to obtain a copy of the report after the report has been signed off. Due to HIPAA guidelines you must have a valid drivers’ license or state ID with you at the time of pick up.
A. We maintain the films and reports from your exam(s) in accordance with state laws (in most cases, for a minimum of five years).
A. Bring your drivers’ license or other government issued photo ID, complete insurance information, including your insurance card, ID number, and group number. In addition, for workers’ compensations claims and automobile injuries, bring your claim number, the insurance carriers name and claim address. Lastly we will need the name and phone number of your claim adjuster and/or case worker.
A. Most health plans do require preauthorization for high tech imaging (i.e. MRI, CT and Nuclear Medicine). As a courtesy DIS will check with your insurance to verify if pre-cert is required. We advise you call your insurance carrier to verify if a pre-cert is required. They can also answer any questions you may have about what is covered and what is not.
A. If you do not have medical insurance and/or you are concerned about paying for your procedure, call our business office at 662-349-4321. We’ll give you an estimate and work with you in setting up a payment plan, if necessary.
A. In most cases, we can schedule you for the same day you call for an appointment. Our goal is to schedule your appointment for a time that is convenient for you.
A. It is our policy to collect in full at the time of service. If you are unable to pay in full then we have a few payment options.
a) We accept Cash, Check or Credit Cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
b) You can apply for our Care Credit program. It is a medical Credit card that can be used for the majority of medical expenses. If you are approved in most cases it same as cash for 6 months. To save time apply online at www.carecredit.com or apply in office at the time of service (allow an additional 15 minutes early if applying in office).
